Answer

The French Revolution took place in France in 1789. By the end of 1799, anarchy, political unrest, and economic depression began throughout Europe. Three years later, in 1802, corruption, moral decay, and economic recession spread in England. The poet then wrote the poem “London-1802”. Seeing the moral decay of the people, the poet felt the lack of ideal men like John Milton. So Wordsworth addressed Milton in London in 1802. Wordsworth wished that Milton would return and teach the people of England morally.
