Summary
Petition is a prayer poem where the poet prays to God. In this poem, the poet addresses God as Sir. Then he appeals to him. In his appeal, Where contemporary social and political problems are shown and psychological solutions are sought to get rid of them. In the poem, he asks God for some things. Freedom from energy, knowledge, and psychological disorders. Again, the poet sought freedom from the bad things of modern society. Wanted freedom from greed, anger, cowardice, etc. He wants to be freed from old thoughts. The poet sought a new change in his heart. He also sought relief from physical and psychological disorders. He explained that God can solve all our problems. God is not our enemy. Finally, the poet wants God to change all their hearts.
