Tom Jones: Tom Jones is the main character and hero of the story. He is a foundling, raised by Squire Allworthy. Tom is lively, friendly, and has a good heart. He sometimes makes mistakes because he is too trusting. But Tom always tries to do the right thing. He loves Sophia Western and faces many problems for her. His journey is full of adventures, surprises, and lessons.

Sophia Western: Sophia is the heroine of the story. She is Squire Western’s daughter. Sophia is beautiful, kind, honest, and gentle. She is loved by Tom and many others. She faces many troubles, but always tries to do what is right.

Squire Allworthy: Squire Allworthy is a rich and kind landowner. He raises Tom Jones from childhood. He believes in honesty, justice, and helping poor people.

Squire Western: Squire Western is Sophia’s father and a country gentleman. He is loud, energetic, and sometimes stubborn. He loves his daughter very much, but often tries to control her life.
