Majeed’s Real Situation: Before arriving at Mahabbatpur, Majeed lived a poor and lonely life in the Garo Hills. He worked there as a muezzin but was not happy or satisfied. He longed for a better life and fortune. When he heard about Mahabbatpur from a government hunter, he decided to move there. 

The Fabricated Dream: Majeed tells the villagers that one night, after saying his prayers, he fell asleep with a pure mind and body. In his dream, Saint Shah Sadeque appeared before him. The saint complained that the people of Mahabbatpur had forgotten him and his sacred grave. The saint ordered Majeed to go there and remind the villagers of his presence. He also promised to bless them with peace and prosperity if they honored him. This dream becomes Majeed’s holy excuse to enter the village.

Villagers’ Belief and Majeed’s Gain: The villagers believe Majeed’s story without question. They search for the saint’s grave and find an old neglected tomb outside the village. Following Majeed’s instruction, they cover it with a red cloth and light candles around it. The grave soon becomes a mazar, and Majeed becomes its caretaker.
