Mymensingh, December 16, 2024: Ananda Mohan College celebrated Victory Day today. The day marks Bangladesh’s victory in the war of independence in 1971. Students, teachers, and local leaders came together for the event.
The celebration started early in the morning with the hoisting of the national flag. Dr. Shahidul Islam, the Principal, gave a speech about the importance of the day. He said, “Victory Day is a day to remember the sacrifices of our heroes.”
The students also performed a cultural program. They sang patriotic songs and danced. Some students recited poems about the freedom fighters. The college’s debate club held a debate about freedom and the role of youth in building the nation. The day ended with a moment of silence for the martyrs of the war.
